(4) If necessary, you can hold down the [TONE] button and
use BALANCE [ACCOMP] (softer) or [KEYBOARD] (louder)
to change the Main part’s volume.
Note: Unlike previous Roland arranger instruments, the EXR-5/
EXR-3 no longer distinguishes between “melodic” parts and a
Manual Drums part. You can therefore also play a Drum Kit with
the Main part.
Note: You can also press the [START÷STOP] button to add a
rhythm accompaniment to your playing. This is based on the
currently selected Music Style. See p. 31 for how to select a dif-
ferent one.
Note: See p. 28 and “Automatic playback start (Sync Start)”
(p. 30) for other ways to start Music Style playback (the drums,
that is).
Using the Main and Split parts
SPLIT

BALANCE
ACCOMP KEYBOARD
SPLIT
(1) If you wish to play different sounds with your left and
right hands, press the [SPLIT] button.
The icon appears and the EXR-5/EXR-3 now automati-
cally selects a sound for the Split part that complements the
sound assigned to the Main part.
(2) Play a few notes on the keyboard.
At first, the keyboard is split at the G3 (note number “55”). If
necessary, you can select a different split point. See
“KeySplit* (Split point)” (p. 85).
To change the balance between the Main and Split sounds,
proceed as follows:
(3) Hold down the [SPLIT] button and use BALANCE [ACCOMP]
(decrease) or [KEYBOARD] (increase) to change the Split
part’s volume.

(4) Si fuera necesario, puede mantener pulsado el botón

Nota: A diferencia de instrumentos arranger anteriores de

y una parte de percusión manual. Por ello, también puede tocar
un equipo de percusión con la parte Main.

un acompañamiento de percusión a su interpretación. Éste se
basa en el Estilo Musical seleccionado. Consulte la p. 31 para
saber cómo seleccionar un estilo diferente.
Nota: Consulte la p. 28 y “Inicio de reproducción automática
(Sync Start)” (p. 30) para conocer otras formas de iniciar la
reproducción de un Estilo Musical (es decir, la percusión).
Utilizar las partes Main y Split
(1) Si desea reproducir sonidos diferentes con las manos
izquierda y derecha, pulse el botón [SPLIT].
El icono aparece y el EXR-5/EXR-3 selecciona automáti-
camente un sonido para la parte Split que complemente el
sonido asignado a la parte Main.
(2) Toque algunas notas en el teclado.
Al principio, el teclado se divide en la G3 (número de nota
“55”). Si fuera necesario, puede seleccionar un punto de divi-
sión diferente. Consulte la “KeySplit* (Punto de división)”
(p. 85).
Para cambiar el balance entre los sonidos Main y Split, pro-
ceda de la forma siguiente:
(3) Mantenga pulsado el botón [SPLIT] y utilice BALANCE
[ACCOMP] (disminuir) o [KEYBOARD] (aumentar) para
cambiar el volumen de la parte Split.

(4) Si nécessaire, maintenez le bouton [TONE] enfoncé et ser-
vez-vous du bouton BALANCE [ACCOMP] (moins fort) ou
[KEYBOARD] (plus fort) pour changer le volume de la par-
tie Main.
Remarque: Contrairement aux instruments avec arrangeur
antérieurs de Roland, l’EXR-5/EXR-3 ne fait plus de distinction
entre les parties “mélodiques” et une partie Manual Drums. Vous
pouvez donc aussi jouer un kit de batterie avec la partie Main.
Remarque: Vous pouvez appuyer sur [START÷STOP] pour ajouter
un accompagnement rythmique à votre jeu. Cet accompagne-
ment est basé sur le style musical en vigueur. Voyez p. 31 pour
savoir comment choisir un autre style musical.
Remarque: D’autres méthodes de lancement de la reproduction
du style musical (à savoir la batterie) sont décrites à la p. 28 et
sous “Démarrage automatique du jeu (Sync Start)” (p. 30).
Utilisation des parties Main et Split
(1) Appuyez sur le bouton [SPLIT] si vous voulez jouer des sons
différents de la main droite et de la main gauche.
L’icône s’affiche et l’EXR-5/EXR-3 affecte automatique-
ment un son à la partie Split (adapté au son de la partie
Main).
(2) Jouez quelques notes sur le clavier.
Au départ, la touche G3 (numéro de note “55”) constitue le
point de partage du clavier. Si nécessaire, vous pouvez chan-
ger le point de partage. Voyez “KeySplit* (point de partage)”
(p. 85).
Pour changer la balance entre les sons des parties Main et
Split, procédez comme suit:
(3) Maintenez le bouton [SPLIT] enfoncé et servez-vous du
bouton BALANCE [ACCOMP] (moins fort) ou [KEYBOARD]
(plus fort) pour changer le volume de la partie Split.
