VersaWorks® RIP Software

Developed exclusively for Roland’s inkjet printers and printer/cutters,

advanced VersaWorks RIP software takes full advantage of the VSi Series’

impressive capabilities. Based on the latest Adobe CPSI 3019 engine and

fully compatible with Windows® 8, 7, Vista and XP, VersaWorks includes

error diffusion and 16-bit rendering for exceptional production output and

unmatched ease-of-use. VersaWorks includes the Roland Color System

allowing users to accurately reproduce more than 1,000 standard colors

and 512 metallic colors. It also includes a convenient spot color

replacement tool as well as built-in PANTONE® spot color libraries*, that

streamline the conversion process from PANTONE® to CMYK colors for

highly accurate PANTONE® color matching. Preset print options include a

High-Speed mode for production banner printing, a MAX Impact preset for

vivid outdoor graphics, and an Artistic mode for exceptional indoor graphics. The VersaWorks predictive ink calculator estimates the

amount of ink needed for each job for flawless unattended printing. VersaWorks also offers Variable Data Printing, step and repeat

functions, embedded ICC profile support, software proofing capabilities, ink level adjustment tools, and advanced cropping, tiling

and nesting options.

Roland OnSupport®

Roland OnSupport is an online support portal that allows easy VersaWorks software updating and

provides real-time machine status feedback by sending e-mail alerts to the user’s computer or

smart phone. The system is designed to automatically notify users, for example, when a job is

completed or ink is running low. Roland OnSupport also provides access to

manuals and software updates, how-to and preventative maintenance guides,

machine usage metrics, and periodic updates to firmware. Additionally, this system

makes it easy for users to manage their productivity or contact Roland for support.

Users can access all of the following information through OnSupport:

- Device name

- Ink type

- Serial number

- Firmware version

- Print time

- Motor operating time

- Job information (resolution, ink consumption)

- Number and frequency of cleaning cycles

- Number and frequency of sheet cuts

- Ink consumption

- Number and frequency of ink cartridges being

inserted into the machi
