Important Points when Placing (Linking or Embedding) an Image Data
Adobe Illustrator version 9 and later allows you to select the color mode for the document as an output setting
for the artwork. You can select the color mode, [RGB] or [CMYK] when creating a new le.
This feature can cause differences in the output when placing an EPS le by linking or embedding.
For example, when the document color mode is set to CMYK, embedding an RGB image causes the image to
be converted to CMYK, changing the color of the image data.
For applications such as signs and banners where the saturation is important, it is recommended to link the
image data when placing an RGB image in Illustrator.
