Cleaning the Cleaning Pads
If the cleaning pads becomes dirty, clean them gently using a commercially available brush (made of hair or a similar soft material) or the
like.
Wipe away grime from the
media-feed rollers (metal
rollers) touching the small
rollers (shown in white in the
figure).

When you have finished cleaning, close the front cover
gently while supporting the left and right sides of the cover
with your hands.

While the [error] light is flashing, press the [ready/insert]
button.
The carriage moves to the left.

Use a cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol (ethyl
alcohol) to wipe away grime from the media-feed rollers
(metal rollers) that touch the small rollers. You may need to
repeat the process several times to remove stubborn grime.
Be careful not to get any alcohol on the platen.
After cleaning, allow alcohol to dry before you attempt printing.

Press and release the [ready/insert] button to rotate the
media-feed rollers slightly. Use the same method to wipe
dirty areas on the media-feed rollers using a cotton swab
moistened with rubbing alcohol (ethyl alcohol).

To return the PC-12 to its initial state, press the [power]
button to switch off the power.
Remove any loaded media at this time.

Press the [power] button to turn on the power.
The [power] light and [ready] light illuminate.

Press the front-cover eject button, catching the front cover
with your hand, and open the cover gently.
