Software settings

In this example we are using the Windows version of Cubase SX3.

Power up the UA-101, and then start up Cubase.

From the

Devices

menu, choose

Device Setup

to open the

Device Setup

dialog box.

In the

Devices

list at the left side of the dialog box, choose

VST Audiobay

From the drop-down list for

ASIO Driver

, choose

EDIROL UA-101

Click

[OK]

to close the

Device Setup

dialog box.

If you experience clicks or pops in the sound, click

[Expert]

to open the

VST

Engine Expert Settings

dialog box. Setting the

Audio Priority

“Very High”

may reduce clicks and pops.

If you’re using Cubase SX, and the UA-101’s sample rate setting

differs from the setting of your Cubase SX project, a message such as

“Unable to set the sample rate” will appear, or you may be unable to

record or play back correctly. In this case, open “Project settings,”

verify that the sample rate settings match, and then click [OK].
