Using this unit makes it possible to create video transitions that occur at extremely high speeds. Depending on physical condition,
viewing such video might cause headache or discomfort. Never use this unit to create or present such video that might be
distressful to health. Roland assumes no responsibility in the event of any distress experienced by you or other viewers.
Switching the Monitor View Mode
The V-4EX’s built-in monitor has the following three types of view modes. Use the MONITOR buttons to change the mode.
OUTPUT This displays the current video output from the V-4EX on a single screen.
INPUT This displays video input from source equipment on a four-way split screen.
INPUT + OUTPUT This displays the current video output by overlaying it on a four-way split screen displaying the input from source equipment.

You can select either 16:9 or 4:3 as the aspect ratio for video displayed on the monitor. Go to the SETUP menu (p. 43) and select [LCD PREVIEW ASPECT].
